Rod Croot – Qualified Owner/Operator

As the owner and company director of Diamond Lock and Security, Rod Croot is no stranger to hard work or overcoming challenges.

Growing up on a farm taught Rod many valuable lessons involving working hard, but it also gave him opportunities to discover he has natural skills when it comes to mechanical things.

After an economic downturn in the farming industry and a bricklaying injury sidelined Rod’s first two careers, Rod used his mechanical skills working at a friend’s locksmith business. Rod learned about the business and what is necessary to be successful. In 1980, Rod’s friend sold the business to Rod.

Rod’s determination and concern for customers helped him build the business from a small one-man operation into a business that employs a number of highly skilled people. To his credit, Rod successfully apprenticed 27 locksmiths in his 40 years of business.

Customers are Rod’s top concern. He and his staff do whatever is necessary to finish a job correctly, including staying late when necessary.

Rod puts a great amount of thought into those he hires. He looks for energetic job applicants who possess integrity and intelligence. As the owner of Diamond Lock and Security, Rod holds the strong conviction that it is his place to provide the employees what they need to do their jobs and he puts much effort into building up his employees.

Rod is justifiably proud of his 40 years running Diamond Lock and Security and is looking forward to continuing to give customers many more years of excellence.
